Creating soul from scratch
Ballymore’s new flagship restaurant beside the US Embassy. The entire experience is dedicated and inspired by, head chef and MasterChef judge, Robin Gill’s late father Darby Gill; an Irish jazz trumpeter from the 50’s & 60’s. Gill wanted to create an old-school institution, with all the good stuff and none of the gimmicks. A place you would return to, time and time again. The restaurant embodies good-honest grandeur in an identity that is inspired by the old-school Irish bars Darby Gill frequented in New York. We developed a deliberately eclectic but timeless graphic language, brought to life by leading craftsmen; blacksmiths, neon artists and signwriters in a space that is grand, transformative and embedded with mischievous Irish undertones.
